The Las Vegas Club Setting

Las Vegas Clubs
by Nicole Taylor

Las Vegas by day or by night is a whirlwind of fun and excitement. There are lights, music, gambling, and shows going on all day every day. In order to see as much as possible and not deal with driving and parking, book a room on the strip. Traveling to Las Vegas can be intimidating, so plan your trip but make sure to leave room to rest and see the wonderful natural landscape.

These casinos and clubs are as much fun on the inside as the outside and are enjoyable whether you want to gamble, take a break during traveling and have a drink, or have a wonderful buffet meal.

MGM Grand casino exhibits six lions including a direct decedent of the original MGM lion. The MGM Grand also has the famous Las Vegas club Studio 54 made to resemble Studio 54 in New York. Studio 54 is a retro club that relives the 70’s and 80’s is disco style. Studio 54 is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 p.m. until early morning and the cover is between $30 and $40.

Caesar’s Palace casino is the model of Rome built in 1966 and remodeled in 2000 and contains the Las Vegas club Poetry. Poetry is self styled as the devils mansion with poets from Poe to Tupac quoted on the walls. It features hip hop and is open Thursday through Sunday 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. The cover charge is $20 for general admission.

The Beauty Bar, located on Fremont St., is a solon themed Las Vegas club with retro flare. Patrons can get demonstrated manicures along with their martinis. This is a great club for girls’ night out. The hours are Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Wednesday through Friday 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. and best of all there is no cover charges.

An unusual open venue in the Las Vegas club setting is the House of Blues, located on South Las Vegas Blvd. Contrary to its name the House of Blues only plays blues on Wednesday. On Sundays the Las Vegas club has a tribute to Prince, live original music on Thursdays and karaoke on Mondays. The House of Blues is open from Wednesday to Monday, hours and the cover charge varies.
